Voice-first expense tracking

Log an expense in one sentence.

Say what you spent and Talksum writes it down: amount, category, done. No forms to fill, no wallets to keep matched against real life, and no bank login. Not now, not later.

Open Talksum in your browser

Free. Sign in with Google, no card. iOS and Android are on the way.

  • No bank login We never connect to your bank account. There is nothing there for anyone to leak.
  • Lives on your phone Your ledger is stored on your device. Cloud sync is something you switch on, never a default.
  • Free CSV export Your data walks out whenever you want it to. Leaving is free.
  • Made for how you talk "four fifty", "twenty bucks", "lunch with the team". Plain speech, not a form with eight fields.

Talksum is new, so there are no customer logos on this page and no numbers we would have to invent. The four claims above are the ones you can verify yourself, today, in about a minute.

Three seconds, start to saved

The whole product is one gesture. Everything else exists so that gesture keeps costing nothing.

  1. 01 Say it

Tap the mic and speak one ordinary sentence. "Coffee with the team, four fifty." That is the entire input.

  2. 02 See what it understood

Talksum pulls out the amount, the category and the note, and shows you the result before anything is saved. Read it wrong? One tap to fix, and the fix sticks.

  3. 03 It stays yours

Saved to your device and added to the month. No reconciliation, no month-end cleanup, and an export button that always works.

Cannot talk right now?

Every voice action has a silent twin. Type the same sentence, or photograph the bill. Around crowds, in an open office, on a bus: nothing has to be said out loud for the day to still get logged. That is a feature we designed for, not a fallback we tolerated.

Why this one sticks when the others did not

Logging that survives a tired Tuesday

People do not abandon expense apps for lack of discipline. They abandon them because filling out a long form at 11pm is just annoying. One sentence is short enough that you still do it.

Nothing to reconcile

No wallets, no balances to keep matched against real money, and miss three days without a mess waiting for you, avoiding the friction that usually turns people away.

It notices what you would not

Talksum reads your own log back to you: what quietly grew this month, where the budget is heading. Every claim comes with the numbers behind it, and on days it has nothing real to say, it says nothing.

It speaks money the way you do

"four fifty", "twenty bucks", "rent". You say the sentence you would say to a friend, and that is the whole input format. It was built in Vietnam and reads Vietnamese just as natively.

Clear privacy commitments

What actually leaves your phone

A finance app asking for trust owes you transparency instead of empty promises. Here are our actual commitments.

  • Typed entries never leave the deviceUnless you turn on sync yourself, a manually logged expense is written to your phone and stops there.
  • Voice and photo capture send one itemThat single sentence, or that single image, goes to our server and on to the AI provider that reads it. Your history is never sent along with it.
  • Your data is never sold or profiledNot to advertisers, not to data brokers, or anyone else.
  • Crash reports are on, and switchableThey carry the error, never your transactions or your name, and there is an off switch in Settings.

The questions people actually ask

Yes, and there is no paid plan to upsell you to today. Voice, typing, photo capture and the coach all work on the free tier. AI capture has a daily quota that ordinary use does not reach. If money ever enters the picture it will be about usage limits and advanced features, never about giving the free version a smaller brain.

No, and you could not if you wanted to. We deliberately did not build bank linking: holding a copy of your full transaction history creates a risk with no undo, so we store no bank data, eliminating data leaks or third-party sales.

Type it instead, in the same natural sentence, or photograph the receipt. Both go through the same understanding step and land in the same place. Nobody nearby will accidentally hear what you spent.

Vietnamese and English. Talksum was built in Vietnam with Vietnamese as the first tuned language, including spoken amounts. Switch the app language and the whole UI and voice recognition update accordingly.

Manual logging does, fully. Voice and photo capture need a connection, because the sentence or image is read on our server rather than on your phone. Anything you log offline is yours immediately and syncs later only if you asked it to.

Yes, sign-in with Google, which is what the AI capture quota is counted against. It takes one tap and no card. Your transactions still live on your device by default.

Not yet. Talksum runs in the browser today and can be added to your home screen, where it behaves like an installed app. Store versions are in progress, and this page will carry the links the day they are live.

Export to CSV, free, any time, no upgrade. An app you can leave freely is an app worth staying in.

One sentence. That is the whole workflow.

Open it, say what you had for lunch, and see whether the habit survives the week. That is the only test that matters.

Free. Works in any modern browser. Add it to your home screen and it behaves like an app.
